How I work

Support through the ups and downs of growing up

Adolescence can be full of emotional challenges, from social pressures and identity struggles to anxiety, low mood, or difficulties at school or home. When we meet, I want you to feel safe, heard and empowered.

Sessions might involve talking, creative activities, or practical tools, whatever feels right for you. This might mean drawing, games, or just having a chat. My goal is to make therapy a safe space where you can be yourself and start to find ways to feel better and more confident in your day-to-day life.

Growing up can be tough, and talking to someone who really listens can make a big difference. Research shows that talking therapy helps young people:

  • Feel less anxious and depressed

  • Build confidence and better cope with stress

  • Improve relationships with family and friends

  • Do better at school and in other areas of life

Therapy is a private, safe space where you can share what’s on your mind, learn new ways to manage difficult feelings, and find hope for the future.

Why Therapy?

For Parents and Carers

Accepting that your child might need extra support can be really hard, and it’s normal to feel worried, uncertain, or even guilty. You’re not alone in this, and reaching out for help is a strong, brave step toward supporting your child’s wellbeing.

I work sensitively with parents and caregivers, offering a safe and understanding space where you can share your concerns and feelings. I keep all information confidential to protect your child’s privacy and build trust. However, if I believe your child is at risk of harm, I have a duty to share that information with the right people to keep them safe. I will always discuss this carefully with you and your child wherever possible.

Together, we’ll navigate the challenges and find ways to support your child and your family through this journey.
